Professional Model Types
Do you want to be a professional model but are not really sure exactly what is wanted or expected or even needed when it comes to professional models? The truth is that professional models come in all shapes, sizes and in all manner of types. The ultimate truth is that the more diverse you are in your professional modeling skills, the more likely you are to draw more attention to your portfolio and receive more professional modeling work to earn more cash.
Sexy models are generally the first thing that people think of when talking about professional models but even here, there are many different types of sexy models. Remember too, you do not necessarily have to be physically attractive to be a beautiful model. Swimwear models or “bikini babes” are very popular and with the CamSur Water Complex as well as the local beaches and resorts, there may be a great deal of work for Bikini Models or swimwear models. Some people may want a more natural sexy look which may involve shorts and a t-shirt. Still other sexy models may work wearing mini-skirts or other types of “seductive” dress. Fashion certainly opens the door for sexy models and both male and female lingerie is very popular and will certainly get people to pay attention to your professional video modeling auditions.
Professional Models may do professional modeling … and while that may seem like a redundancy, think CEO of a company or any other type of executive or professional personnel. Men may model a dress shirt and tie while women may model a pantsuit or more professional length dress with a nice shirt and a suit coat.
Uniform models are also very popular for many occasions. Professional models in uniforms are popular for advertisements, promotions and many other types of video marketing materials. Nurse Uniform models, models in soldier’s uniform or a police uniform are also very popular for many different occasions. Other uniform models could include a stewardess, school uniforms or many other types of uniform models.
Just a word of caution though, if you are using a uniform from school or work, you may need to make certain that it does not violate any terms or conditions that you may have with the school or place of employment. It may be a good idea to remove any identifying marks from any uniform that you want to model for us. For the sake of client-sponsored uniform modeling jobs, uniforms will be provided but for your modeling audition videos you will need to provide your own costumes for any audition videos that you want to have created.
Cultural and lifestyle models are an increasingly popular venue for professional models. Are you Emo? Maybe you are a Fashionista? Cosplay is an increasingly popular form of art and believe it or not, you really could be a professional model in the field of cosplay. The Grunge lifestyle is very popular as is the Goth look. There are many websites and other online opportunities for models of this nature.
Formal wear is also a very popular modeling opportunity. There are many fashion and nightlife sites online and how do you think they advertise? Throw in the many sites for formal wear, school dance (Prom Dress Models) and even the more luxurious models for truly elegant formal wear like formal dresses and even tuxedoes for the male models.
